Arducam OV7251 0.3MP Global Shutter Monochrome IR Sensitive Camera Module (NoIR) for Raspberry Pi 4/3B+/3

Overview

The Arducam monochrome (B&W) global shutter VGA resolution OV7251 camera module is mainly designed for Raspberry Pi boards, and it can be connected directly to RPi’s CSI-2 camera interface without additional hardware.

This OV7251 camera module is compatible with the official V4L2 camera driver, and you can also use Arducam SDK for higher frame rates.

The sensor’s global shutter and excellent low-light sensitivity allow it to be used for any application that needs gesture detection, head, and eye tracking, and depth and motion detection.

• Supported By The Lastest Official Firmware: The Raspberry Pi has recently updated its firmware with V4L2 camera drivers, which adds support including for OV7251. Thus this OV7251 camera module is compatible with the official V4L2 camera driver, and you can get it working easily just by enabling the overlay.
• Global Shutter: Shoot high-speed moving objects in crisp sharp images. Avoid the rolling artifacts to get a much more accurate complete picture than the rolling shutter Pi cameras
• Frame Rates: Capture video at 640×480/30fps when working with the official driver.
• Application: this 0.31MP monochrome global shutter camera module has excellent low-light sensitivity, which makes it ideal for any application that needs gesture detection, head, and eye tracking, and depth and motion detection.

• This camera and RPI driver doesn’t support hardware JPEG/H.264 encoding
• The camera supports Raspberry Pi native driver and V4L2 apps
